From Art theory to Calligraphy practice, as well as debate on traditional style to contemporary thinking on Art, this course delivered by a Calligraphy Master can help everyone to choose the right style according to its written character knowledge and develop its creativity. Each year ends with an exhibition-workshop.
The course offers regular Chinese character writing. This is the style that the Chinese use in everyday life to write, but also a calligraphic style in its own right.
Calligraphy was originally the way of writing to become an artistic expression. There are many styles in Chinese calligraphy, including the regular style, which is, as its name suggests, the standard Chinese style of calligraphy and which forms the basis of the other, often more expressive, styles of calligraphic art.
Regular handwriting is therefore the handwriting that the Chinese use all the time in everyday life today. According to this model, the Chinese learn to write at school, but using a pen or pencil to draw the basic lines and their variations.
In this calligraphy course, we use the brush, the traditional instrument, to write Chinese characters. Writing characters regularly helps you to better memorize the words and helps you to immerse yourself in Chinese culture at the same time, a double objective achieved.
The course takes place in 10 sessions of 2 hours, Monday or Friday from 18:30-20:30. During the 10 sessions, you will learn how to progressively write key features of characters, common words and specific fixed expressions in the Chinese language. At the first session, you will have the necessary materials to start the practice from the very beginning.
